Workshop and Course Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to anyone registering for a workshop or course with Merchant & Green. Please send all cancellation notifications and transfer requests via email to service@merchantandgreen.com.au. Please do not attempt to cancel via Facebook Messenger or Instagram DMs because we may miss it. 

Merchant & Green workshop and course dates and times are subject to availability. All public classes have minimum guest requirements. Occasionally, we have to reschedule if the minimum number of guests is below the requirements. Please refer to all information provided regarding individual workshop details and requirements. Confirmation of your booking will constitute your agreement to the terms and conditions outlined.

Payment and Refunds

Where charges apply, Merchant & Green must be paid for in full and in advance by credit, debit card, or cash to secure your place. If we do not receive payment for the workshop in advance, we regret that the participant will not be able to attend. If you cannot attend your booked workshop or course, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance to receive a credit note for the total amount paid. Credits issued will be valid for 12 months and can be redeemed on any in-person or online workshop/course. You may be liable for any additional workshop/course fees or associated costs – for example, materials and flowers. You may substitute another person in your place if you give us at least 48 hours notice before the workshop's start time. You are responsible for organising the substitution details with the individual.

Cancellations

Merchant & Green reserves the right to amend, cancel, postpone or reschedule any workshop or course due to low enrolments or unforeseen circumstances. If we cancel a workshop or class, we shall give participants as much notice as possible. In the event of a cancellation, we will offer you the option to transfer to another date, receive your fee paid in credit for a future workshop booking, or receive a full refund of the costs (minus any administrative fees). Please note that refunds can take up to three weeks to process.

We are not liable for any losses or other costs incurred, including, but not limited to, flights and accommodation arising as a consequence of any modification or cancellation of workshops/courses or schedule constraints beyond the cost of the workshop fee. 

Non-Attendance

If you fail to attend a workshop without providing adequate notice as listed above, the course fee will not be refunded or transferred to another date.

Minimum Age Requirement

Workshop participants must be at least 18 years old at booking or have a parent or guardian attend the workshop/course with them. 

Materials and Equipment

All equipment, materials, flowers, and plants are provided by Merchant & Green and included in the fees.

Private Bookings

We offer a range of workshops that we can schedule as a private group booking. Each class has different minimum guest requirements. For private bookings, access to our studio is from 15 minutes before the start of the class. BYO drinks and nibbles are allowed with prior notice. Following the class, your group must vacate the workshop space within 15 minutes. If you require more time for your group following the class, you can book an extra half hour or 1 hour for an additional charge.

Photography and Video

You may take as many photographs of your work as you wish during the workshop/course. However, please ask permission of other attendees before taking pictures of their work or face.You are not permitted to take videos during teacher demonstrations.Merchant & Green reserves the right to take photographs and videos during the workshops/course for use within the business's marketing. If you do not wish to appear in photos, please inform the teacher at the start of the session.

Health and Safety

Attendees are expected to follow the Health and Safety guidelines given at the start of each workshop/course, including any requirements of the NSW government or health department concerning COVID-19 requirements. Attendees must wear appropriate clothing and footwear during the course.

Allergies

Merchant & Green cannot be held responsible for any medical issues arising from, but not limited to proximity contact, scent, physical contact or any other form of contact to any component, fresh, preserved or otherwise.At times, we may provide refreshments at our workshops/courses, noted in the workshop outline. Please make us aware of any food intolerances upon booking your workshop/course by emailing us at service@merchantandgreen.com.au.
